With his scientific background in engineering, chemistry, biology, physics and mathematics, combined with his family's multi-generational connection with the forest and timber industries, Ron has diversified his Hermal Group into the new world economy of sustainability with his vision of the "New Supply Line", which all makes good commercial and economic sense.

Ron's vision is for this "New Supply Line" to facilitate and enable Australia becoming self-sufficient in timber production and to minimise waste in the timber supply chain.  Innovating his chemical engineering skills, together with his commercial industry expertise, he has developed a new and patented process to convert BioMass into BioEnergy, BioChar and BioHydrocarbons, which is sustainable and environmentally friendly.  This process generates renewable electricity and heat from the biomass waste of the forest industries very effectively.
